Louise Whelan

Managing Director

Louise has always had caring in her background, her family run a successful Nursing Home in Dublin, and through her involvement there, she realised that there was a growing requirement to also deliver excellent home care with a personal touch. Louise honed her entrepreneurial skills through ownership of multiple award-winning restaurants and from this experience, Louise garnered her understanding of the importance of uncompromising standards in customer service and she has applied this principle to the home care realm. 

Louise is passionate about the home care industry and committed to ensuring that the highest standards of performance and care are met, thereby enabling people to live happy and healthy lives in their homes and communities. Louise is a hands-on Managing Director, who leads from the front and inspires pride in our organisational values and mission.

Martin Whelan

Executive Director

With over 38 years of experience in the highly regulated domestic and commercial security industry, Martin’s expertise in quality control and people management has lent itself brilliantly to the home care sector. A dedicated businessman and entrepreneur, Martin knows that the key to success is customer satisfaction and he has rigorously applied these principles in Pioneer HomeCare. Martin is responsible for finance and business development.

Richard has a strong pedigree in the security sector, where he has been instrumental in accelerating the growth of our sister company, Pioneer Security. Richard’s business acumen, management expertise and commitment to ensuring “quality without compromise” has transferred effortlessly to Pioneer HomeCare, where he ensures that these same exacting standards are applied.

Leah McIntyre

Accounts Manager

Leah has spent her career working in home care, starting as a carer before moving in to scheduling and accounts management. Leah has been instrumental to Pioneer HomeCare’s success due to her knowledge of the home care industry, her attention to detail and her unrivalled commitment to ensuring the delivery of quality care. 

Jenifer Whelan

Accounts Manager

From a young age, Jenifer has had a keen interest in the healthcare field, having worked as a Health Care Assistant in the family Nursing Home. Jenifer’s compassion and enthusiasm for working with the most vulnerable in society saw her go on to obtain her Health Care qualifications prior to beginning her work as a Client Care Supervisor which then led Jenifer to account management in 2024. Jenifer is a dedicated and skilled accounts manager with a proven track record of excellence in financial management and analysis. With a keen eye for detail and exceptional organisational skills, Jenifer consistently ensures that financial records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with regulations.

Jane D’Alton

Compliance Officer

Jane comes from a HSE background where she spent 15 years working as a Psychologist and Psychotherapist on a Multi-Disciplinary team in the Psychiatry of Later Life department. Jane has a passion for elder-care and ensuring that client’s care needs are met. In her role as Compliance Officer, Jane ensures that the HSE Tender Requirements are met along with ensuring compliance with PPE and Covid-19 procedures. Jane is also available to staff for any issues or concerns they may have either personally or professionally. 

Christina Simpson

Head of Services

Christina began her career in the company as our front of house receptionist and as the welcoming face of Pioneer HomeCare. Christina demonstrated an innate capacity and flair for organisation along with a keen understanding of the day-to-day workings of a homecare package. Christina was promoted to HCP Coordinator in 2022, where she provided an invaluable link to the HSE from the outset of a homecare package and closely liaised with all stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery and smooth running of all homecare packages. Christina excelled herself in the role and due to her exceptional attention to detail, communication and decision making, we were delighted to promote her to the role of Head of Services in 2024. Christina’s sunny disposition and excellent interpersonal skills are among her strongest qualities and just two of the many factors which make her an integral part of the team.

Debbie McCoy

HR Manager

Debbie has spent her career in Human Resource Management and has garnered significant experience in the homecare field. Debbie looks after all aspects of the HR functions including recruitment and selection, performance management, employer-employee relations, function evaluation and policy formulation. Chief among Debbie’s concern is employee welfare and wellbeing and she has a proven track-record of developing employees and their careers.

Mandy Murphy

HR Trainer

Mandy has dedicated her career to Human Resources Management, with a strong focus on training and ensuring best practice in the caring profession as well as providing our staff with the tools to deliver the highest standard of care in their homes . Mandy manages our end to end recruitment process along with managing our 250 + personnel. 

Jamie Fagan

HR Administrator

Jamie is a consummate professional with a background in HR recruitment. Jamie has dedicated her career to HR services, and this is demonstrated through her exceptional interpersonal skills and her strong human resource focus. Jamie’s organisational skills, diligence and her courteous approach while working as a member of our front of house team has earned her a promotion to our HR Team. As Pioneer Homecare’s HR Admin, Jamie is responsible for recruitment and oversees the onboarding process and has shown herself to be an excellent addition to the HR team.

Claire Kavanagh

HCP Coordinator

Claire began her career as a health care assistant prior to becoming a Client Care Scheduler with the company. Claire’s attention to detail, strategic mindset and dedication to the provision of quality care, saw her move into her current role as our Home Care Package Coordinator. Claire is the first point of contact for the HSE’s referral system and she liaises with clients or their families to ensure that care is put in place in a timely manner. Claire judiciously matches up client and health care assistant, with a particular focus on the client’s needs and the attributes of the Health Care Assistant best suited to meet their needs.

Elaine Foran

HCP Coordinator

Elaine has spent most of her career working in the home care sector and brings years of experience in the home care industry. Elaine is committed to ensuring our clients receive the highest standard of care and she supports our care team in delivering this service. Elaine was instrumental in the early days of Pioneer Homecare and Elaine always has our clients and carers welfare at the heart of all that she does. Her many years of service within the home care industry and her passion for care along with her work ethic have allowed her to prove herself an excellent Client Care Supervisor.

Jamie Egan

Client Care Manager

Jamie has years of experience working in the home care field and her dedication to the work has seen her progress through the company from her role as a Client Care Supervisor, to HCP Coordinator and now Client Care Manager. Jamie has distinguished herself with her ability to manage high-dependency clients and throughout her years with the company has established excellent links with Public Health Nurses, Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to make certain that every aspect of a client’s care is achieved in the most holistic and person-centred manner possible. Jamie has proven herself to be an excellent Client Care Manager, where she combines her knowledge of the work in the field with her aptitude for forging strong interpersonal relationships with clients and the care team alike.

Mary-Jane Harvey

Mary-Jane is our dedicated Community Support Manager whose journey with us began as a Rapid Responder and evolved into a Client Care Supervisor. With a passion for helping others and a wealth of experience in supervising and delivering exceptional care, Mary-Jane leads our community support team with compassion and expertise. Her journey from frontline response to managerial role reflects her commitment to making a meaningful difference in people's lives. Mary-Jane's dedication to community care shines through in every aspect of her work.

Julia Astratova

Client Care Supervisor

Julia began her career as a health care assistant with Pioneer HomeCare and quickly established herself as an excellent high dependency care assistant due to her patient nature and her diligent approach to her vocation. Given Julia’s personal qualities, experience and commitment to ongoing education, she was promoted to a Supervisory role and has excelled in the position. 

Jane Kenny

Client Care Supervisor

Jane is a long-standing member of the team who brings with her a decade’s experience working in the caring sector. Having joined the team in 2020 as a Senior Rapid Response healthcare assistant, it was abundantly clear that Jane had a wonderful way with the clients and her colleagues alike. Jane’s consistent dedication to the highest standards of care delivery made her an ideal candidate for career progression within the company. Jane’s warmth and her caring nature have endeared her to the team and she continues to cement excellent working relationships across the board. 

Sandra Quinlan

Client Care Supervisor

Sandra came to the home care industry following on from her years of experience in the nursing home sector. Sandra recognised the importance of facilitating people in later life to live independently in their homes and communities where possible. Sandra works tirelessly to ensure that the clients’ needs are met and that the health care assistants she works with are equally well cared for too. 

Renata Coelho

Client Care Supervisor

Renata began her career with Pioneer HomeCare as a Senior Rapid Response health care assistant. It quickly become evident that Renata was a hard worker with an excellent work ethic who commanded great respect and regard from both clients and carers alike. Renata was promptly promoted to her role as Client Care Supervisor where she has excelled, cementing strong bonds with the team and demonstrating her focus on providing the highest standards in person-centred care.

Chris Conway

Client Care Coordination Manager

Chris has spent a number of years working as a Client Care Coordinator and during this time he has demonstrated an excellent logistical mindset which he diligently applies to the task of scheduling client’s care. With a background in Youth Work, Chris has engaged in continuous professional development and has a number of qualifications to his name including Diplomas in Youth Work, IT and Supervisory Management. Chris has a particular skill for forging positive relationships with the healthcare assistants he works with and demonstrated an excellent capacity for ensuring the smooth running of homecare packages in his assigned area. Chris serves as the Client Care Coordination Manager, with oversight across all geographical scheduling areas.

Brian Murphy

Client Care Coordinator

Brian is our Client Care Coordinator for Area 1, covering North County Dublin, Sutton and Howth. Brian is a consummate professional who has spent his career in the Home Care sector, following in the footsteps of his mother Mandy, our HR Manager. Brian has cultivated excellent relationships with the clients and carers and is frequently commended for his excellent communication skills, strategic mindset and contribution to the smooth day to day running of the schedules. 

Elaine Grant

Client Care Coordinator

Elaine is one of the Client Care Schedulers for Area 3, covering Dublin 1, 3, 7, 8, 11 and 15. With over 30 years of experience in the health care sector, Elaine has worked as both a Client Service Administrator and scheduler. Elaine’s experience of working with clients throughout the years has proved to be her strongest asset due to her strong interpersonal skills and empathy. 

Kelly Killeen

Client Care Coordinator

Kelly has dedicated her career to client support services. Beginning her working life as a healthcare assistant, Kelly’s skillset was quickly recognised and she moved into a role as a Community Care Supervisor. Kelly honed her skills through active monitoring of client satisfaction and ensuring client and care assistant compatibility. Throughout her career, Kelly has excelled in the interpersonal arena and has forged excellent working relationships with clients, care assistants and relevant stakeholders. Kelly’s collaborative approach to her work has proven to be an excellent asset to the Pioneer HomeCare team.

David Canavan

Client Care Coordinator

David comes from a homecare background where he has spent his career in scheduling. As a Client Care Coordinator, David brings exceptional attention to detail and a strategic approach to the work that he undertakes. David’s calm demeanour and measured approach to the work in a fast-paced environment gives great reassurance to both clients and our care team alike. Working across all scheduling areas, David has built a vast understanding of the clients and their needs, and this is perhaps his greatest asset.

Adriana Almeida

Client Care Coordinator

Adriana started her Pioneer HomeCare career as a Health Care Assistant. Adriana excelled herself while working with clients and her extraordinary ability to communicate and reassure was noted early on. Throughout her time as a healthcare assistant, Adriana established excellent working relationships with clients and colleagues alike and has demonstrated a deep understanding of the importance of matching the right carer to each client. Adriana has taken her impressive skillset into her role as Client Care Coordinator.

Erin O’Leary

On-Call Coordinator

Erin began her career with Pioneer HomeCare as a HealthCare Assistant. During her time as a healthcare assistant, Erin proved to be a fantastic employee and fostered excellent working relationships with the clients and her fellow carers. Erin’s knowledge of the North County area of Dublin has proven an invaluable asset as she diligently applies her local knowledge to the logistics of scheduling. Erin’s experience on the front line of caring has also deepened her appreciation of the importance of allocating the appropriate carer to a given client.

Jay Adeniyi

On-Call Coordinator

Jay began his career as a healthcare assistant before taking the leap into scheduling. It is due to this that Jay has a high understanding of the importance of the careful coordination of client services. Jays thoughtful approach to scheduling homecare is his greatest quality, always bearing in mind the clients individual needs, and this sits alongside his capacity to listen to care assistants to create schedules which are tailored to their needs, creating a healthy work life balance. Jay places huge value on client satisfaction and this is what motivates him in his current role.

Nadia Mandroiu

Receptionist

Nadia comes from a homecare background and has a positive attitude and wonderful communication skills. Nadia manages our busy phonelines along with welcoming carers through our doors. Nadia has established excellent working relationships with both care assistants and clients alike and is an asset as a member of our front of house team.
